Law enforcement is preparing to return Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home to her family as the search for the missing 84-year-old enters its fourth week, sources told NBC News in a Wednesday, February 25 report.
Nancy — the mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie — was reported missing on February 1. Her Tucson-area residence has remained a focal point of the investigation, with officials previously collecting DNA and other evidence. Two federal law enforcement sources told the outlet that recent activity at the property is tied to efforts to turn the home back over to the family, as investigators no longer believe it must remain sealed as a crime scene.
