New Clay Pit Fire sparks in Saratoga Springs, jumps to 200 acres

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (ABC4) -- A new wildfire was discovered in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday, and it quickly grew in size, according to officials.

Just after 5:15 p.m., Saratoga Springs Fire & Rescue posted on social media to alert residents of a fire in Israel Canyon, and officials asked residents to avoid the area. Evacuation orders were not put in place after the fire began.
