New Jersey Introduces Enhanced Temporary Vehicle Registration Tags

TRENTON, NJ—The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) has announced the introduction of new temporary registration tags designed to improve security and combat fraud. These updated tags, also referred to as temporary registration certificates or “temp tags,” incorporate advanced security features that comply with the provisions of P.L.2023, c.285, legislation passed in January 2024.
