New Padres owners approved after Seidler sale

Major League Baseball unanimously approved the transfer of the San Diego Padres' ownership to husband and wife team Kwanza Jones and José E. Feliciano. The new owners, who replaced the Seidler family, aim to secure a World Series championship for the city. While ownership has shifted, daily operations will remain under CEO Erik Greupner and President A.J. Preller.
