ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) — Day eight of training camp and there is still plenty of juice at Broncos Park.
“Overall, I thought it was pretty crisp,” noted head coach Sean Payton after a hot and hazy practice due to wildfires across the Denver metro area.
Rookie quarterback Bo Nix continued to impress the coaching staff Thursday, completing all 10 of his passes in the red zone.
“He has some zip on it. But he also has some touch,” wide receiver Josh Reynolds said on Nix’s passes. “He’s versatile and I think he can make a lot of the throws that coaches are looking for.”
Across the line of scrimmage, veterans on the defense are also taking notes.
“He’s a good look-off guy,” explained safety P.J. Locke. “I just can’t get a good beat off him because he looks off the first read and he can throw the field.”
