North Little Rock Caterpillar manufacturer celebrates making its 15,000th machine

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Equipment manufacturer Caterpillar celebrated a major milestone Thursday.

Its North Little Rock facility officially completed its 15,000th machine.

It’s a huge accomplishment for the company. Team members showed how proud they are of their work and dedication towards reaching this achievement.

"It takes a pretty good workforce. About 500 people that work here. There's a little bit of everything. There are engineers, there's accountants, there's HR professionals, there's assemblers, there's painters, there's welders. So, it takes an army of professionals in these areas to do this and do it well,” Facility manager Chris Heitzmann stated.

The North Little Rock location has been around for 15 years.
