PHOENIX (KDVR) — The Denver Nuggets will advance to the Western Conference finals after dominating the Phoenix Suns in Game 6.
After starting the series 2-0, the Nuggets faltered in Phoenix, losing two games to bring the series to a tie. But after regaining the lead with a 118-102 win at home in Game 5, the team turned up the heat in Phoenix.
With 81 points at halftime, the Nuggets led by 30.
The Nuggets will now face the winner of the Warriors-Lakers series. The Lakers lead by 3-2, and Game 6 is set for Friday night in Los Angeles.
The last time the Nuggets went to the conference finals was in 2020. Denver lost to the eventual champion Lakers in five games at the NBA's restart at Walt Disney World amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
