NY Child Tax Credit checks: How will parents receive their payment?

NEW YORK (PIX11)—New York State will begin to issue checks to families who qualify for the New York child tax credit payments, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Monday. 

“As New Yorkers get started with back-to-school shopping for their kids, we’re putting some money back in their pockets,” Hochul said. “My team is making sure these supplemental payments reach every eligible New Yorker – and I’m going to keep working every day to address the cost of living for working parents across our state.”

New York State is issuing over 100,000 checks daily to the millions of New Yorkers eligible to receive their one-time supplemental payment.
