PELHAM, N.Y. (PIX11) – New York native Kate Douglass has already won a silver medal in the Paris Olympics, and her hometown is ready to watch her dominate again.
Douglass, a 22-year-old from Pelham, won a bronze medal in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and, on Saturday, took home silver in the 100-meter Freestyle Relay.
On Wednesday, Douglass came in first place in the 200-meter breaststroke semi-finals, finishing .20 seconds ahead of the next swimmer.
Douglass will race again Thursday in the women’s 200-meter breaststroke final at 3:11 p.m. Locals can watch Douglass swim at a watch party at The Picture House Pelham at 175 Wolfs Lane, which will host a viewing party starting at 2:30 p.m.
