NYPD seeks man who allegedly stole $1,500 from Jewish school in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a man they claim broke into a school in Brooklyn on Saturday and stole around $1,500.

The incident happened at around 3 a.m. at the Yeshiva & Misivta Tiferes Elimelech at 1650 56th Street, according to the NYPD.

The suspect allegedly used burglar tools to force his way through a door in the rear of the building, police said.

Police say the man had long hair and a slim build, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, yellow sneakers, and a dark-colored bag. The NYPD released the following surveillance images of the man.
