ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - Changes are coming to how semi-trucks can park within Odessa city limits, with the City saying these changes are already in effect.
According to the City, commercial or large vehicles cannot park within the city limits unless they are:
- Street construction equipment engaged in repairing or extending public service utilities
- Parked in a designated area at an exhibit or exhibition hall to deliver or remove equipment
- Experiencing mechanical issues or at a commercial mechanic or repair shop
- A vehicle smaller than 26 feet, being used for the purpose of moving personal property, and parked for less than 24 hours
- Parked at a truck shop
- Parked at a business they are a customer of, such as a hotel or truck stop
The City of Odessa also added that no commercial or non-commercial vehicle can park or sit in undeveloped lots without the expressed permission of the owners.
