Odessa juvenile killed in pedestrian crash

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - The Odessa Police Department has released more information about a vehicle-pedestrian crash that occurred Wednesday evening.

OPD said that at about 10:33pm on Wednesday, August 7, crews responded to the area of East Loop 338 and 87^th Street in reference to a major accident. Investigation showed that a gray Dodge Ram was heading south in the 8100 block of northeast Loop 338, striking a pedestrian who was walking the roadway.

The pedestrian, later identified as a 15-year-old female from Odessa, was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been notified. This remains an ongoing investigation.
