Off-duty NYPD officer arrested in the Bronx: NYPD

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested in the Bronx Thursday morning, according to the NYPD.

Omar Habib, 40, was taken into custody at around 9:30 a.m., police said.

Habib was apprehended on a charge of strangulation.
