One dead, another injured after vehicle veers off SR-78 in Oceanside

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- One person was killed and another was injured after their vehicle veered of eastbound State Route 78 in Oceanside Saturday morning, authorities said.

According to a SigAlert from California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred after the College Boulevard exit shortly before 9:50 a.m.

Aerial footage shows the vehicle seemingly in pieces in the parking lot of an ampm convenience store, located at 3804 Plaza Dr.
