PBC clean-up crews discuss continued recovery following fire

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - The City of Odessa said clean up crews for the site of the Permian Basin Containers Fire met on Wednesday to discuss the continued recovery of the site.

"The responsible party secured an environmental contractor to monitor the air emissions during the cleanup at the site. TCEQ is providing oversight regarding remediation and cleanup efforts," said the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in a statement.

Ector County is the lead agency in the clean up efforts. Water testing results are expected to arrive between 9am and noon on Wednesday, July 7.
