ROANOKE, Ind. (WISH) — A three-vehicle crash Monday night in southeastern Whitley County killed a pedestrian.

According to a release from Indiana State Police, 32-year-old Vicente Ramos of Adrian, Michigan, walked onto U.S. 24 west of County Road 800 East for an unknown reason when he was struck by three cars.

That stretch of the Hoosier Heartland Highway runs along a rock quarry on the borders of Allen and Huntington counties.

Ramos died at the scene.

65-year-old Rocky Burns, 21-year-old Preston Watkins and 68-year-old Maria Shepherd were the drivers of the three vehicles involved.

The release did not state if the drivers involved suffered from any injuries. <...
