Pennsylvania man tased twice, arrested after high speed chase in Cambria County

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Pennsylvania man is facing charges after he allegedly fled from police after they pulled him over for driving under the influence.

Christian Hauser, 49, of Cherry Tree is facing DUI charges after he allegedly drove off during a traffic stop, according to a criminal complaint. On Aug. 4, police were parked along Penn Street when they recognized a green Subaru. They noted in the complaint that they knew it was Hauser because he was arrested for a DUI the week before and had a suspended license.

Police wrote that they pulled out behind him and observed Hauser hitting both the yellow and white fog lines multiple times as he was driving toward Loretto. Officers then turned on their emergency lights and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

According to the affidavit, officers approached the vehicle, asked for his ID and asked where he was coming from. Hauser allegedly handed over his ID and told them he was coming from the Penn Avenue Bar. He then reportedly told officers that he had five beers. Police noted he had slurred speech and smelled strongly of alcohol.
