PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Pensacola's 2025 fiscal budget has been drafted, and it amounts to about $317.3 million, News 5 has learned.
Here are some highlights about the proposed budget:
- No millage rate increase
- 15% of postponed CPI increase in Pensacola Energy rates
- Phase II of the three-phase employee salary adjustment in 2025
- Increase of four positions
- Raises of 7% for first, 3% for all employees but police (police union under negotiations)
City officials said in the release that "The General Fund is expected to see $5.9 million in revenue growth. $1.7 million of the Fund Balance will be appropriated, leaving $14.399 million in Council Reserves."
The release said a pair of public hearings will happen sometime in August to discuss the budget.
