Pet-friendly affordable housing lottery opens up near Brooklyn College

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A pet-friendly affordable housing lottery that has apartments for as low as $823 a month opened up near Brooklyn College.

The building, located at 1640 Flatbush Ave., includes many amenities such as garages, assigned parking spaces, storage lockers, a shared laundry room, dishwashers in-unit, air conditioning, high-speed internet, public transportation access and even a dog washing station.

Apartments range from $823 to up to $3,963 monthly, with studio to two-bedroom units available. The minimum income needed to apply is $31,612, while the maximum income is $218,010.

There are 45 units up for grabs. Tenants are responsible for electricity, but hot water is included in the rent.
