ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Officers and a local business jumped into action to help rescue two dogs and a kitten Monday afternoon at Walmart.

Central PA Humane Society police, Allegheny Township police, Walmart associates and Professionals Auto Body teamed up to take care of some furry friends who were stranded and alone on a hot day.

First, they had to deal with removing two dogs from a parked vehicle. It's unknown at this time if any charges will be filed as they investigate.

After rescuing them, they were flagged down by a woman who saw a small kitten crawl into the engine of the car parked next to her.
