ELK COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Wilcox man was arrested late Tuesday night after being accused of holding a gun to another man's head and threatening to kill him.
James Cherry, 60, is in the Elk County Jail with bail denied on five charges related to an incident on Aug. 6.
Around 11:30 p.m., police received a call about an incident along Faries Street in which the caller said she heard screaming and gunshots.
When police arrived, they spoke with the caller and her mother about the incident, which police learned involved another person and Cherry, charges show. Police learned that Cherry had allegedly pulled a gun on another man and there was video evidence of the altercation.
Officers were shown the video of Cherry allegedly holding the gun against the man's head and threatening his life, according to the affidavit. Cherry was arrested and told police the gun was unloaded on the kitchen table and it was collected as evidence.
