Politicians, California officials react to Biden's withdrawal from Presidential race

The political world is reacting to the historic, stunning news that President Joe Biden is ending his re-election bid and has endorsed Vice President and former Senator from California Kamala Harris.

"It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President," Biden said in an open letter posted to X, formerly Twitter.  "And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
