Popular cannabis brand presents Southern California city with $230K donation

One of the most popular cannabis brands in America is giving back to a Southern California community. 

STIIIZY, whose products include vape batteries, THC pods, marijuana extracts, edibles and flower, presented a check in the amount of $229,515 to Pomona Mayor Tim Sandoval during a ceremony on Friday. 

The money is being donated with the purpose of improving local parks and schools in Pomona; to date, STIIIZY says they have donated a total of $730,000 and over $4.5 million in cannabis taxes that have benefitted recreational spaces and schools within a half-mile radius of the store, including John F. Kennedy Park.

According to a STIIIZY spokesperson, the donation is part of the company’s continued support for revitalizing Pomona, especially communities that have been historically disenfranchised.
