Powerball ticket worth nearly $1 million sold in California

While no Powerball jackpot winners took home $154 million in Wednesday’s drawing, a single ticket worth nearly $1 million was sold in San Francisco, according to California State Lottery officials.

The winning ticket, worth $987,439, was sold at Buddies Market at 696 Chenery in the Glen Park neighborhood. It matched all five numbers but did not match the Powerball number, officials said. The winning draw was 23, 34, 37, 50, 58 and a Powerball of 7.

The next Powerball draw will be on Saturday and has an estimated jackpot of $171 million.

A lucky Mega Millions player in Orange County won nearly half a million dollars in Friday night’s drawing. According to the California Lottery website, the winning ticket was sold at Palma Liquor on La Palma Avenue in the City of La Palma.
