DENVER (KDVR) — A wildfire ignited Tuesday night in Jefferson County.
The fire was burning along Deer Creek Canyon Road, according to the West Metro Fire Protection District. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the area was west of Grizzly Drive, and pre-evacuation orders were issued for homes in the area.
The fire stood at 4 acres as of around 11 p.m. It was burning in brush and timber.
Firefighters from West Metro, South Metro Fire Rescue, Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District and North Fork Fire Protection District were responding.
