LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Pulaski County Special School District is doing its part to make sure students and staff are healthy before and throughout the school year.
The school district held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday for the Mainline Health PCSSD Health Center. It's located in the Mills Middle School annex building and will offer a range of medical and behavioral services to make sure those in need get the proper care without having to miss school.
"It also helps with education, which is a big focus because the kids don’t have to miss school. They can come to the clinic, see the provider and then go back to class,” Amanda Gilbert chief project manager for Mainline Health Systems stated.
The clinic will initially be open only on August 13 and 15. Then it will be open Monday through Friday starting on August 19, which is PCSSD’s first day of school.
