DENVER (KDVR) -- The Quarry Fire that started last Tuesday in Jefferson County is now 100% contained.
The fire quickly grew after it was discovered by a deputy along Deer Creek Canyon Road around 9 p.m.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office confirmed Wednesday that the fire was completely contained and burned 579.6 acres. The fire came within a quarter mile of homes in the area, but no structures were damaged.
The mandatory evacuations that were ordered for six neighborhoods in the area were all lifted on Tuesday and residents were able to return home with proper credentials.
Those returning home may find things like patio furniture and firewood moved around.
