Rain tonight to some snow Wednesday and windy, more snow to follow | Dec. 9, 2025

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After finally breaking a 12 day streak of below normal temperatures on our Tuesday, we’re tracking multiple systems that will bring both rain and snow. This will eventually lead towards the possibility of our coldest air this month by this weekend.

Tuesday night: Scattered to widespread rain moves in late tonight. Temperatures will hang around in the upper 30s to low 40s overnight.

Wednesday: Widespread showers carry through the pre-dawn hours Wednesday. Closer to the late morning timeframe, we look to see a switchover to some snow. It is not out of the question for there to be localized heavier snow bursts, and this is where we could especially see a quick coating of snow form on the ground.
