Recent Spate of Vehicle Crimes and Accident in Maplewood

MAPLEWOOD, NJ—The Maplewood Police Department has reported multiple vehicle-related incidents over the past few days, including a motor vehicle theft and several vehicle rummages.

On July 26, 2024, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Boyden Avenue and Springfield Avenue following a report of a motor vehicle theft. An unknown suspect stole a 1999 Suzuki motorcycle that had been left parked with the key in the ignition.

Between July 25 and July 28, 2024, the police also received multiple reports of vehicles being rummaged through on Bowdoin Street, Prospect Street, Oakview ...
