Rensselaer County hosting ice cream social contest

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- July is National Ice Cream Month. While Montgomery County is celebrating Ice Cream Week from July 15 to 21, Rensselaer County Tourism and Rensselaer County Dairy Promotion is hosting a social media ice cream contest.

To participate, you can:

• Like and follow Rensselaer County Tourism on Facebook
• Visit a Rensselaer County ice cream shop
• Snap a photo of your ice cream, the name of your favorite flavor and which ice cream shop you're at and post to Facebook, tagging Rensselaer County Tourism and Rensselaer County Dairy Promotion in the post
