CAMERON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The roof of a home partially collapsed as crews were fighting a fire on Wednesday night.
According to the Star Hose Company, crews were called just before 11 p.m. to a house fire on East 3rd Street in Emporium Borough. Shortly after crews arrived on the scene the fire was upgraded to a second alarm.
Once on scene Rescue 13 split their team with half taking a line in the front door to attack the fire on the second floor, while the other half of the crew worked to stretch an additional hose line to the side of the home.
Crews encountered heavy fire on the second floor and the attic before they were forced to evacuate after a partial roof collapse. Once all firefighters were accounted for and regrouped, Firefighters were sent back into the building to extinguish the remaining fire.
