HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. (PIX11) -- Route 17 in New Jersey was the only state road still closed on Wednesday morning because of flooding.
The northbound side of the route remains closed just south of Route 46 in Hasbrouck Heights, according to the state's Department of Transportation. Roads were submerged with water from Tuesday night’s thunderstorm.
Much of Bergen County was flooded on Wednesday morning after more than five inches of rain drenched the area.
Route 17 connects much of Bergen County to New York with access to the Lincoln Tunnel and George Washington Bridge. Officials will continue to update on the condition of the road on the NJDOT account on X.
