Running the trails of Good Earth

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A festival that's sure to keep people moving is set to make its return to Sioux Falls.

605 Running Company at The Bridges is more than shoes and apparel. The local running shop is ready to put its footwear to work.

"This is our second annual 605 Trail Run & Festival," 605 Running Company owner Greg Koch said.

Koch says the festival offers races for people of all ages and abilities.

"It's an 8-mile trail run or a 4.5-mile trail run, and then we have a free kids race," Koch said.

The event will take place at Good Earth State Park and will include a variety of vendors, while promoting health and wellness.

"Right now, we're watching the Olympics and we're seeing the peak of athleticism when it comes to running, but really, truly, everyone can get out, get moving, even if you're just moving your body a little bit it's great for your mental health, great for your physical health, your heart health. Highly encourage just getting involved, getting out, getting active, get moving," Koch said.
