San Bernardino County has been awarded nearly $100 million to partially fund four significant flood control projects as part of the new federal water bill.
The Water Resources Development Act (WRDA), which was introduced in 2022 by Sen. Tom Carper (D-Delaware), reauthorizes funding for the Army Corps of Engineers to support major water infrastructure projects nationwide.
In addition to the funding, the legislation also directs the Army Corps to conduct extensive feasibility studies on three projects within San Bernardino County limits.
