SANDY, Utah (ABC4) -- A Sandy toddler was rushed to the hospital after he fell into a swimming pool over the weekend.
Sandy City Fire Department confirmed with ABC4.com that the two-year-old boy fell into a private pool around 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4. Family members reacted quickly and were able to pull the boy out of the pool and begin CPR.
The family continued life-saving efforts until paramedics arrived and took over. The Sandy Police Department said the boy showed a "positive response" on the scene and was taken to a local area hospital.
The boy's current condition is unknown, but Sandy City Fire said the boy has made "significant improvement" from the time the family pulled him out of the pool to the time he was hospitalized.
No other details were released about the incident.
