STANTON, Texas (KMID/KEPJ)- Sharing Hands A Respite Experience (SHARE) hosted its 2024 annual Shooters that Share Clay Shoot, a fundraiser dedicated to the nonprofit that services West Texas and Permian Basin families who are raising children with special needs.
SHARE, a non-profit local organization that supports families who have a child with special needs for no cost, hosted its second yearly fundraiser on Friday, July 19, partnering with Windwalker Farms Sporting Clays Complex out of Stanton, an event that began over 10 years ago.
The clay shoot began at 9 a.m. at the Windwalker Farms Sporting Clays Complex at 2551 County Rd C2801 in Stanton and included gun boards, a raffle ticket, and sponsored catered food for all who came. The event invited companies to attend and pay for their spot at the shoot.
SHARE Director of Development, Cali Trowbridge said that this year's fundraiser was very successful. “Our goal last year was- we set it at $50,000, we did hit that. This year our goal was $75,000, and I believe right now we're at 86. So we're very excited.”
SM Energy, SHARE’s 2024 event sponsor also presented their check and said that SHARE was an important organization for the Permian Basin.
