Share your memories of, and hopes for, San Diego County’s wondrous ocean piers

There are five ocean piers on the San Diego County coastline, and pretty much everyone has a favorite. Which one is your go-to hangout, and why?

We know that some of you have poignant memories of finding summer love at places like Oceanside, La Jolla and Imperial Beach. Others light up when you recall spending hours leaning on a pier railing with a fishing line cast into the sea. Many of you enter a dream state when recalling your best days surfing pier-side.

And with several of the piers’ futures in flux, plenty of you have hopes and visions for what you’d like those to be.

The San Diego Union-Tribune is seeking such memories and ideas for an illustrated story that will be published later this month, and we’d like you to be part of it.
