Shooting at Southern California beach parking lot leaves 2 wounded

Police in Long Beach are investigating after gunfire erupted Saturday night, leaving two men wounded, authorities confirmed to KTLA.  

Officers with the Long Beach Police Department flagged down near Alamitos Avenue and 5^th Street just before 10 p.m. about an adult male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.  

Police initiated life-saving measures on the victim until medical personnel with the Long Beach Fire Department arrived and rushed the man to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.  

Authorities said that while officers were attending to the victim, a second male victim with a gunshot wound to the lower body drove himself to the hospital. He was also listed in stable condition.
