Sioux Falls named in top 50 cities for families

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls has once again been named one of the top 50 places for families to live by Fortune magazine.

Siara Shabanov and her family have lived in Sioux Falls for 4 years.

"Me and my husband, we moved here in December of 2020, and we are loving it," Sioux Falls resident, Siara Shabanov said.

Compared to her previous home of Washington state, she is happy to be raising her family in Sioux Falls.

"I would say this is a very family-oriented city and it makes raising a family that much better because I feel like our city gears toward families and there's lots of things for you to choose from," Shabanov said.

Fortune Magazine agrees. It's put Sioux Falls in the top 50 places for families to live.

"My only thought was I thought we should been higher, but we'll take you know, we'll take being one of 50. I mean, Sioux Falls is a great place to live," CEO of Experience Sioux Falls Teri Schmidt said.
