Special election early voting results for Hidalgo, Starr County races

SAN JUAN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Today is the last day of early voting for the La Grulla Special Election.

The special election is for the position of mayor. The candidates are Jon Venecia, Macario Villareal III, and Eli Guerra.

You can still cast your early vote at La Grulla City Hall. Election day is next Tuesday, July 23.

In the special election for Palmview, voters are selecting a council member for place 2. As of Friday morning, 423 people cast their ballots.

The candidates for this race are Linda Sarabia, Cesar Pena Jr. and Esequiel Ortiz Jr.. You can cast your early votes at the Palmview Recreation Center through July 26. Election day is July 30.

Voters in San Juan are selecting a commissioner for place 4. So far, 808 people have cast their ballots. The candidates for this race are Cruz Quintana Jr., Jose Enrique Flores, Jesus Ramirez and Veronica Villescas Sanchez.

You can still cast your early votes at the San Juan Memorial Library through July 26.

Election day is July 30.
