Speedway to improve Main Street safety with new project

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — The Town of Speedway will begin a Main Street improvement project to enhance safety and prepare for future upgrades. The project will be completed in two phases.

The first phase will focus on repairs to pedestrian crosswalks to address the immediate safety issues.

This phase is expected to start within the next couple of weeks and is anticipated to be done by May 1.

Phase two will involve a more comprehensive design plan for improvements and is currently expected to begin in 2027.
