ST. LOUIS - According to a new study, St. Louis ranked amongst the top cities in the U.S. for its "pet- friendliness."
WalletHub, a financial advising website, compared 100 U.S. cities across 23 factors to create the list. The study found St. Louis was ranked number 10 compared to the other cities.
The city was ranked primarily for it's budget-friendly pet care, as it was named number nine for the category for factors such as veterinary care costs and dog insurance premiums.
Kansas City, Missouri ranked 63rd and Chicago, Illinois neared the bottom of the list as 90th.
Scottsdale, Arizona topped the list as number one followed by Tampa, Florida and Las Vegas consecutively.
The site used data to compare metrics such as veterinarian costs to the number of local pet businesses and walkability.
