Storm causes power outages in Central Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) — A storm passed through the Central Pennsylvania area, power outages have followed.

In our 10-county viewing area, customers in Cambria, Clearfield, Centre, Blair and Huntingdon are all experiencing outages, according to First Energy, which is the parent company of Penelec, West Penn Power, Met-Ed and Penn Power.

In Cambria County, 1,621 customers are reportedly without power, which is about 2.64% of the customers served in the county. In White Township, all but one customer is reportedly without power.

In Clearfield County, 458 customers are reportedly without power, which is approximately 1.34% of customers served in the county. Coalport Borough customers are the highest with 36.96% of customers served without power.

In Blair County, 387 customers are reportedly without power, which is approximately 0.68% of customers served in the county.

In Centre County, 333 customers are reportedly without power, which is approximately 0.49% of the customers served in the county.

First Energy also reports less than 20 people are without power in Huntingdon County.
