ST. LOUIS - Not much in the way of changes to the forecast. Wildfire smoke is still with us, giving us hazy skies. We may see some river valley fog again Friday morning.
The frontal boundary that came through Thursday is now sitting just south of the St. Louis region.
Closer to the front, we will be watching for more widely scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday. The best chances will be west of the Mississippi River, especially along the I-44 corridor. Highs in the upper 80s.
Saturday will start dry, with increasing shower and storm chances in the afternoon. Highs in the mid- to upper 80s.
Scattered showers and storms will hang around Saturday evening and night.
More showers and storms Sunday will keep highs in the 80s, but the heat builds early next work week.
By Tuesday and Wednesday, highs will be in the mid 90s and heat index values of 100+ will be likely.
