TONIGHT

Thunderstorms remain the immediate concern this evening as a few storms could produce damaging wind gusts and very heavy downpours. The strongest storm threat should favor areas near and especially south of I-70, although Indianapolis could still see a storm move through. With the ground extremely saturated from the recent heavy rain, even a brief downpour may aggravate ongoing flooding problems. Storm coverage should generally decrease later this evening, although another batch of showers and thunderstorms may move across southern portions of central Indiana late tonight into early Monday morning. Otherwise, expect plenty of clouds with lows in the lower 70s and west winds around 5 mph. River flooding will remain an issue even after the rain begins winding down.
