Study: Missouri drivers among most confrontational in the U.S.

ST. LOUIS - A recent study says that Missouri is one of the highest-ranked states with road rage incidents among drivers in the United States.

According to Forbes Advisor, Missouri was ranked No. 2, behind only California, as the state with the most confrontational drivers in the country.

The results came after Forbes Advisor surveyed a total of 10,000 licensed drivers, 200 in each state, and compared the results across nine metrics.

These are the highest-paid state employees in Missouri and Illinois

Missouri ranked in the top 10 among seven of the nine metrics used in the study:

  • Highest percentage of drivers who have been yelled at, insulted or threatened by another driver (33.5%)
  • Second-highest percentage of drivers who say they have been purposely cut off (48%)
  • Third-highest percentage of drivers who say they have been forced off the road (13.5%)
