SAN MARCOS, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of a man and woman suspected in the burglary of a San Marcos home and use of stolen credit cards.

The break-in occurred on Sunday, June 30, in the 1200 block of South Hampton Road, Detective Lavinia Fifita with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said in a news release on Wednesday.

About $20,000 worth of jewelry, purses and other items were stolen, according to law enforcement.

The suspects also used stolen credit cards to make fraudulent purchases totaling about $1,300 at two San Marcos stores -- Albertsons in the 1900 block of W. San Marcos Blvd. and Ralphs in the 300 block of S. Twin Oaks Valley Road -- as well as a Food 4 Less in the 600 block of North Broadway in Escondido.

Surveillance video captured a vehicle near the location of the home burglary described as a newer white model, possibly 2020 Chevrolet Suburban.
