SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A small SUV rammed into the front of a 7-Eleven in City Heights early Tuesday morning. The driver cooperated with police and remained on scene.
The incident happened around 4:51 a.m. at the 7-Eleven location on 4350 University Ave., according to San Diego police. For reasons unknown at this time, the Nissan SUV had jumped the curb and crashed through the convenience store's front door.
The driver of the vehicle, who was the individual to report the crash to law enforcement, was examined by medics on scene, but did not report any injuries.
The impact of the crash knocked the front door of the hinges and shattered the connecting window. The vehicle was towed out of the front of the store around 6 a.m.
