INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police are searching for suspects after a teen driver in a crashed vehicle was found with a gunshot wound on the city’s near east side.

Online police reports show Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the 800 block of North Tuxedo Street around 12:45 a.m. Friday to investigate an accident with injuries.

That area is near the Grace Tuxedo Park neighborhood near North Sherman Drive and East 10th Street.

Upon arrival, police located a car that had crashed into a tree, the sole occupant and driver suffering a gunshot wound.

Medics rushed the victim to a hospital condition, where they later died. Coroners identified the 17-year-old later Friday morning as Lamar Miller Jr.
