A teenager was arrested last week after a hidden camera was used to spy on multiple victims using the bathroom at a restaurant in Oceanside, police said.
Police were called to Dominic’s Italian Restaurant on Harbor Drive South around 6 p.m. Wednesday after two of the victims allegedly found a cellphone hidden inside a storage container of the restroom, police said.
They, and two other victims, including a juvenile, called the restaurant manager, Oceanside police spokesperson Heather Mitchell said. Investigators determined the phone belonged to a teenager who worked at the restaurant.
The teen, who is a minor, was arrested and later released to family members, Mitchell said.
No other information was released.
Investigators asked anyone with information to contact Detective Liciana Del Castillo at (760) 435-4377 or LDelcastillo@oceansideca.org.
